Have your pickers ever been directed to a bin only to find that the inventory is no longer there?
Not with InSiteShip software solutions for SyteLine and Visual.
InSiteShip has an internal allocations process to make sure that pickers are not fighting over the same inventory to fulfill their orders. It first assigns the inventory to the orders with the oldest requested ship date. If the same inventory is needed by two customers on the same day, it will honor priority settings to make sure the inventory goes to your most important customer.
What happens if two order pickers need 75 pieces each for two different orders and there are only 100 units on hand? The picker with order for the most important customer will directed to pick 75 units and the picker for the second order will be directed to pick only 25 units – thus assuring that no matter which picker gets to the bin first, the most important order will be filled completely and the other order will ship 25 units now and the rest will be backordered for when the inventory is replenished.
